'Pubs and the Economy' will be launched in December and run throughout January. It plays part of the planned activities for CAMRA's Key Campaign 4 'to raise the profile of pub-going and increase the number of people using pubs regularly.
This campaign aims to raise the profile of pubs by highlighting the large numbers of jobs created by pubs and the amount of tax they pay towards the British Economy.
January can be a quiet time for the pub industry following a busy a Christmas period and this campaign will encourage people to use the pub in the New Year and call on pub-goers to join CAMRA and call for a freeze in beer duty at the next budget.
CAMRA will again produce 7,000 promotional packs for pubs that have already supported CAMRA's previous pub campaigns. All of the Good Beer Guide 2014 pubs will also receive a pack.
If you are a licensee and have not signed up for our previous pub promotions on this site or appear in the Good Beer Guide 2014 and interested in a free promotional pack then please register here. The material will be sent out to pubs in Mid December and can be used until the end of January.
